July 18 Cruise Nite July 18 will see the Central Nebraska Car Club bring over 400 classic cars to Downtown Kearney: The Bricks for the Cruise Nite Show ‘N Shine. Thousands of spectators will converge Downtown to see classic cars from all over Nebraska and the nation. This all-day event is free and open to the public; owners interested in putting their car on display should contact the Central Nebraska Car Club at 308-440-2941.
July 23-25 Sidewalk Sales Stroll historic Downtown Kearney during Old Fashioned Sidewalk Sales, over 150 businesses to choose from. Free activities will be provided for children.

August 20 Destination Downtown From 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20th, over 3,000 students from the University of Nebraska at Kearney will head for food, music, and fun. As a part of Blue and Gold week, Destination Downtown is designed to introduce students new to the Kearney area to the Downtown district.
